FAQ's

What is CBD or cannabidiol?

CBD is one of 80+ naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the hemp plant.  The most widely known cannabinoids include CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, & THC.  Full spectrum products may have some or all of the widely known cannabinoids.

What is the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum, & isolate?

Full Spectrum - is the purest form of hemp derived or CBD oil containing all the natural occurring oils from the plant.  This includes the original cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids and other plant oils.  All these chemical compounds work synergistically together to create what scientist refer to as the “entourage effect.”

Broad Spectrum - is a form of hemp derived or CBD oil that has had one or more natural occurring oils removed.  Most common cannabinoid removed is THC.  Some products labeled broad spectrum may have trace amounts of THC.

Isolate - is the process of isolating one compound such as CBD.  CBD isolate only contains CBD.

What is the entourage effect?

The entourage effect occurs when different chemical compounds found in the hemp plant work together to produce a greater effect than if those same compounds worked isolated from each other.  This results in maximizing the beneficial effects of hemp derived or CBD oil.

Does full spectrum oil have THC?

Yes, full spectrum oil can have trace amounts of THC.  All PVS products are Farm Bill compliant and have below 0.3% THC.  If you are new to full-spectrum oil, we recommend you start out with a small dose (2-4 drops) to find the desired amount that works for you.

Can I fail a drug test from CBD oil?

Yes.  Farm Bill compliant CBD oil may have trace amounts of THC leading to a positive drug test.

How much CBD should I take?

Serving sizes vary by person and the experience they are seeking.  Some users may prefer smaller doses in the 10-20 mg range, while other users find better results in the 60-100 mg range.  PVS full spectrum products are considered highly concentrated and are usually in the 60+ mgs per dropper range.  Please start small and work up to find your desired dosage amount.

How long does it take for CBD to take effect?

This varies by person.  Some individuals will feel effects in 15-20 minutes while it will take others up to 2 hours or more.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana both fall under the species: cannabis.  Legally defined, hemp is a cannabis plant or extract that is below 0.3% THC, and marijuana is cannabis plant or extract above 0.3% THC
